Critical Race Theory and Storytelling
My Honors Project Initiatives recognizes and fosters the continued vitality of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and storytelling, addressing the lack of institutional support and collaboration for this interdisciplinary field within academia.
Storytelling
Create a new space for ethical dialogue, vibrant exchange, and mentorship networks that bring together scholars, educators, poets, and artists across disciplines, and generations, on and off the tenure track.
Expand cultural exchange and knowledge by centering the stories, histories, and experiences of diverse ethnicities, amplifying voices often marginalized in academic and public discourse.
Storytelling has not only flourished across the humanities and social sciences but has also reshaped how various fields understand their methods, archives, and disciplinary structures. By gathering these narratives, this initiative envisions a collective anthology that demonstrates why shared stories are critical to advancing CRT, fostering new understandings of systemic inequities, and building transformative paths toward equity and justice.
